I have yet to upgrade to window 7 but plan to later this year when I build my new PC. I would think you would use the VoxATC version without speech recognition as this should come with your Win 7 OS. You can confirm this by launching the SPEECH applet in your control panel. If you see both a speech recognition tab and a TTS tab you are good to go. You shoud be able to set up your microphone in the speech recognition section. The TTS section should have any available TTS voices that are present listed in a drop down menu and you should be able to test and hear them. You should see Mike, Mary and possibly the newer Anna voice. If you do not have these features present in your speech section then you will need to use the VoxATC version with speech recognition and the speech recognition software will be installed along with VoxATC. The speech recognition SAPI 5 engine was developed by Microsoft and is required for VoxATC to function. Now the only question is, will the current version of VoxATC work with Wndows 7? Per the rcsimulations site where you register the software, "VoxATC 5.63 NOW supports Windows Vista 64/ Windows 7 Now compatible with Microsoft Windows Vista

dbrucem, Thanks Mate, I will try your suggestions...yep your right re response...they seem to forget that we are potential buyers of new products that they may be releasing!!!

Choppa,I have Win 7 Ultimate 64-bit installed, FSX Acceleration, 7 ATT voices and VoxATC 5.63 (without voice recognition), and it works without any problems at all.Actually I think the voice recognition in Win 7 is better than what I had with Win XP.

I've been reading about people having problems with winodws 7 and adding TTS voices, I'm ready to install ATT voices, but just checking with you. I assume you have no other options but Ann in Win 7 control Panel, even with ATT installed, but in VoxATC you are able to see the ATT voices??? Vox and Multiple voices is all I care about. Ann can talk to me in windows all she wants. (I did find a work around to change Ann, but not need in this case). Will be testing my install tonight!
