May 23, 201016 yr I am using three monitors all at 1920x1200 ( native) . I have my primary focus on the the gtx 295 and the others are on the gtx 280.I basically only use the two secondary monitors for third party programs and for my gauges that i want to movewhen i undock a gauge and move it , it turns black. When i move it back to the primary it shows up again. This is not true for all gauges but is generally the caseI have moved around monitors , for instance i tried two on the 295 and one on the 280 but i had the same resultwhen i run gpu-z i noticed that the shades , memory and clock speed get topped out on the cards when running fsx. That is interesting because i always thought fsx was cpu and not gpu intensive ( of course its all relative!)I am running the most current nvidia drivers and nhancer.I am running w7 x64 in window modeThoughts?Peteupdate my cpu is now i 965 @4.0 stable and running cool with a reservator xt
May 23, 201016 yr Hello Pete:Long past I have seen the problem you describe, but it was always cured by restarting my computer. For what it is worth I have a similar problem now but only with one bird in one FS version. In FS9 when I select the Eaglesoft Citation X 1.0 for FS9 and try to move a secondary window to a secondary monitor, my primary goes black and the only way I can recover is to restart FS9. As long as I don't move a window everything is fine.I tried reinstalling the plane, different drivers, and everything else of which I could think which all turned out to be futile. For litterally years I have moved windows at will in this bird with no problem until this problem recently raised its head. It is unique to this one plane. Now the kicker. Fortunately with the same plane selected in FSX (which was really designed only for FS9), I can move windows at will, the plane flies beautifully, and everything works with no problem at all. About two months ago when I first saw this problem I posted this problem on this site's FS9 forum, the Flightsim FS9 forum, and the Eaglesoft Citation X 1.0 for FS9 forum. Unfortunately, no one had any ideas and I got no response, surprisingly including Eaglesoft. No, this is not a complaint against Eaglesoft and until I saw your post (which really isn't the exact same problem), my assumption was that it is system specific. No biggie anyway as she still performs flawlessly in FSX. Maybe a good answer to your post from someone else will shed light on what causes what I see as well. Thanks for the post.Good luck:RTH I am using three monitors all at 1920x1200 ( native) .
