How to use FS9 FlyTampa sceneries in FSX

Recommended Posts

Hey guys the other day I was ready a post by MikeT in the FS9 forum where he stated that he figured out a way to convert all his FS9 FlyTampa sceneries to work in FSX.

....(mind you I found a way to convert all of my FlyTampa scenery to work with FSX) ...
A few of us replied in the thread asking if he could share with us how to do it but Mike probably didn't see our responses. So, the question is, Mike if you read this thread could you share with us your solution to get these sceneries to work in FSX? I know a lot of people have tried unsuccessfully to get them to work, with the exception of one fellow who got Vienna to work, but at the expense of weeks of work making custom photo ground textures and a custom AFCAD.Or on the other had if Mike doesn't happen to read this thread, has anyone else figured out how to get these to work right in FSX?I have a lot of their work for FS9 and would love to get KSFO, KSAN, KTPA, and KSEA to work in FSX until newer version of these sceneries make it to market. Mike stated in his post he completed a flight into KSFO using the FT version and had pretty good FPS using it.Thanks in advance for anyone who could help/guide me in getting these to work in FSX.Regards

Its not possible without serious visual flaws & a reduced framerate due to the SCASM code. They might partially work during daytime, but most users will still consider them unusable in this state.
