Using default G1000 in another panel - still unsolved?

Featured Replies

Hey guys :( I want to use the default G1000 in some other planes and so far so good. Everything on the PFD works - except the airspeed tape. Somehow this panel is tied to the original plane it came from (in this case the C172) so that is only fully functional when used with the original. Ive tried everything - including making a copy of the entire C172 G1000 panel and testing it on the other airplane - no luck. :( Just wondering if someone has managed to solve this little mystery. I find it nagging but also inteteresting as to how the default G1000 PFD seems to have been "locked" to its original plane in order to display all functions. Is it somehow tied to the original planes .cfg or something?I know this is not new news but just thought I would ask on here, looking forward to your thoughts! Thanks :(

Check the aircraft.cfg file for the a/c you are wanting to use the G1000 PFD in for these entries:

[airspeed_indicators]airspeed_indicator.0=1airspeed_indicator.1=1
