Help/Advice with Windows 7 & FSX

Featured Replies

Im using Win7 ultimate with FSX and a bunch of addons. I normally have my icons set to run FSX is administrator as well as ASE and Flightsim commander to name a few. Once in while, something in Windows changes my icons to not start these programs as admin and when that happens, they dont aways connect to each other. IE.. ASE does not find FSX or flightsim commander cannot connect to FSX etc.. When they all run as admin, they work fine. My question is, is this caused by windows 7 UAC? if so, can It be disabled and what drawbacks would there be. If its not UAC, what keeps reverting my game icons to not run as administrator? Thanks for any helpRob

Just disable UAC altogether, Rob - this will show you how, and will give you lots of other tips too:-http://www.howtogeek.com/tag/windows-7/
