Framerate drops over time and sound means even lower rates

Featured Replies

Hi guys,I have a very irritating problem: My framerate drops over time, but apparently not for all planes. The scenario is this:Start fsx and load the 737wilco. I see a framerate at about 40-50.Wait 30 minutes: I see a framerate of 17-40 (framerate keeps changing 17 - 16 - 17 - 16 - 40 - 17, mostly low numbers)Wait an hour: I see even lower frame ratesI have not done anything in fsx at all, just loaded the plane.Next problem:I then turn on the engines and the framerate drops 8 more down to 8! Pressing Q (to silence the engine sound) brings the framerate back to the 16.This does not seem happen with all planes. For instance the Microsoft 737-800 can run for hours without a drop in framerate,on the other hand it looks like the Leonardo Maddog is down to 1 fps very fast (I haven't tested this much yet though, it might have been a fluke). All this was done right after deleting fsx.cfg and then just setting some of the sliders in display options. Screen resolution set to 1280x1023x32 unlimited.I am running FSX SP1 + acceleration on win 7 ultimate 64 bit.My hardware is:Intel Core i7-860 2.86GHz8GB DDR3 Kingston 1333MHz (4x2GB)1024MB ASUS GeF GTX285 DDR3 PCI-EAny suggestions on what to do with this would be appreciated very much.Helge
