Microsoft & FS develment ?

Featured Replies

So now that Microsoft stopped work of FS what going to happen Next ?I'm just getting back in FS2004 and have not been following the forums treads on this subject. Can anyone one fill me in please? Thanks Scott

That's defiently news to me.Although im sure it probably hasnt even been started on, ill have to keep my eye on this new product.Correct me if im wrong but I beleive Aerosoft were working on a flight sim of their own.

 Intel I7 12700KF / 32 GB Ram-3600mhz / Windows 11 - 64 bit / NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060TI / 32" Acer Monitor, Honeycomb alpha/bravo, CH rudder pedals, Tobii 5, Buttkicker, Logitech radio panel.

Indeed, Aerosoft is. And price & hardware dependent, I'm more excited about their product than I am one from the people who basically committed FS genocide. As it stands for me now though, My FS9 still has many a good year left in it, and then, when my hardware allows for it, I've got the world of FSX still waiting on me. :( Those who can afford to have the latest & greatest will have to hope that Aerosoft's new product will be affordable to the masses, able to run on a wide variety of systems, and offer the potential for user created freeware addons. But even with those conditions met, MSFS has one hell of a strangle hold on the Flight sim market and its community. The list of those who have tried and died in this genre to even match what MS have done, is long and littered with broken dreams and promises.I wish Aerosoft all the best in this venture, they're going to need it, as long as they remember that this hobby of ours is driven by much more than the almighty monetary unit.

very well said.I am quite anxious to see what aeroosoft come up with, however im not going to hold my breath and not expect the "be all end all" of flight simulation for the PC. Nevertheless still looking forward to what they come up with.It can be quite an interesting time for flight sim on the pc in the next couple years, or a flop!!!! :(
