Engines shutting down

Featured Replies

Has ANYBODY had a problem with all the engines shutting down at the same time just as you advance the throttle for taxi??? I have restarted the sim tonight 8 times at different airports and the same thing EVERY time!!!I am using the Saitek proflight yoke and throttle quadrant. :( :( :(

Hi Brian, I also use the Saitek proflight yoke and throttle quadrant and had the same problem for a long time. My fix was simple,,, disable Auto mixture. You can test it, but the issue was that the throttle levers have a hair trigger when touched, so say you start the sim and leave the levers in their normal position, then later throttle up, the mixture lever would then send a signal to it's position and my engines would die. Another easy workaround (although, easy to forget to do), is soon as you start the sim move all your levers about an inch then back to their position and you shouldn't have a problem once you start the engines, although this is if you're starting with engines off. It's also refered to as axis noise I believe.Good Luck!
