Hi, one of the problems with my new rig seams to be the cache folder, TP. runs ok and then tells me " unable to create cache subfolder" even when there is one created. all I get in FSX is water tiles. any help. :(

rudder,Try a quick test... I had something like this "way back when"...create temporary cache: C:\tempcacheand make sure it is properly referenced in the ini############################source=mytemp############################## Here begins the service specific configurations#[mytemp]#----------------------------------- service 1 test -------------cache_folder=C:\tempcacheetc...I think my problem was that the ini didn't reference a valid cache name, so the subfolders couldn't be created. The symptoms might also be the same if there is a permissions issue where the cache is located.. but then would be fine somewhere that Windows isn't "protecting".Caches can be located anywhere and named anything you want... just so long as they are properly referenced they seem to work fine.Loyd
