I didn't have one either. It's ok if it's a new file. Just make sure that you are placing the new version into the correct folder. As long as it's in there, the problem will be easier to solve, that is, if putting it in there doesn't already remedy it.
and then just rename the other dll files in my system subfolers and ill be sweet?

Mr. Burns you have two options to try which i and mike have posted1. First download the uiautomationcore.dll for vista on your computer , then place it under then main fsx folder , by default this file is never there so you have to just simply paste it there .This should work , if it doesnt2. then go to the next step already explained of removing the uiautomationcore.dll from your system , you have both the options above to take ownership and remove uiautomationcore.dll file from system folder.cons of this process - desktop becomes dysfunctional after exiting fsx , other apps dependant on uiautomationcore.dll would not work Eg. - Windows Movie MakerHope now its clear. ...

You don't need to touch any of the system .dll files. Leave them alone. FSX will look for the first instance of the uiautomationcore.dll and - if you put it into the FSX root folder - it will find and use it. It will not go digging into the system folders. Matter of fact - if another application is on your machine that wants the original Win7 version - you may well cripple that app by changing the system .dll.
