Bonanza take off length

Featured Replies

From all the specs I read, the takeoff lenght is 1002ft but at 3w5 its taking almost the whole runway (2609ft) to get airborn. What are the tweaks to change to correct this in the config file. I remember something along the lines of parasite drag scalar and thrust on the propeller. What values are you guys using?

If you download it from Carenado again, it has the new airfile I believe! several other fixes as well.

It actually is the newest version. I'm going to try to do a fresh install to see if it fixes itself. Had an issue with the parking brake not working for awhile.

Actually, the first thing to try is trimming the aircraft near the aft limit of the TO setting. In other words, trim it quite nose high (not fully back, but there is usually a range that you set in TO mode - set it to the very aft of that). For some reason, most Carenado aircraft are rigged oddly and a lot of their machines require very nose-high trims to allow for a rotation at a reasonable speed, therefore distance. Give that a try and see what happens.
