  1. Late to the party! Now it seems I can justify the transition to P3D and enjoy my NGX even more soon. Thank you!!!
  2. I am still running my rig from 2009 with FSX and all the ORBX goodies. The NGX runs flawlessly on my system and has just over 1800hrs on the 7377 with only a few (hangs or crashes) over the last 5 years. I am not going to change a thing until my system packs it in. If it aint broke, dont fix it. I keep my FS rig offline and only do updates via. Jumpdrive from a seperate laptop. I think this has helped keep my rig as stable as it has been over the years.
  3. Welcome Back Captain! Thanks for the update!
  4. Thanks for the update. And a raised beer to a speedy recovery.
  5. I am really excited for this bird. I just hope that the sound set gets the attention it deserves. Those radials have such a great sound.

Yeah ill take 6 of the red hot doughnuts you got on the shelf please.lol Gotta love the attention to detail. Makes the long development time worth the wait. Cant wait to get mine!!!
  7. Before getting bent out of shape, lets think for a sec. A major highly anticipated product was just released. There is sure to be a heavy demand on their servers. If there are issues and backlogs pertaining to D/L links ect. I think its obvious what the problem is. I'm holding off until the weekend for this reason. Let the traffic slow down a bit. Then if I download on friday, I got 3 glorious uninterrupted days to spend with the new toy!!!
  8. My rigs at the tail end of its life as well. I'm waiting till the weekend to download to avoid the rush and let servers cool down. Besides, if I get it today, ill miss the next few days of work!!! Hope my rig lasts until Christmas, I'm treating myself to the a new one for the holidays.
  9. Do it right or don't do it at all. I wish some other devs shared the same montra.
  10. Wow! Congrats fellas! Well deserved.
  11. Thank you sir! Ill be waiting patiently with the others.
  12. Understood! Valid point.
  13. I wouldn't necessarily call it "bad news". There's probably a lot of internal number crunching involved setting a pricepoint. The time invested in the development by all members of the team have to be calculated. And I'm sure the data provided by Boeing comes at a cost. Plus all the photo assignments, server and webstore costs and marketing makes up for a majority of the overall development. The profit is probably a lot less than we all think. As an owner of a company that provides high end products to a neiche market myself, I fully understand why what seems to an "obsurd pricepoint" can be a tough pill to swollow, but if we were all able watch the development cycle from start to end, there would be more of an understanding as to why the price is what it is.
  14. I was very satisfied with the pricepoint of the NGX. So asking $80-100 for the T7 won't be an issue for me. Quality costs money, and supporting a top shelf developer that delivers a top end product for such a small market as us simmers is huge!. Not only in receiving a high end product, but our loyality and willingness to pay the money for said products keeps devs like PMDG in buisness. I'm very greatful for that personally.
  15. If my wife says anything at all about me spending obsurd amounts of time with the T7, ......I'm inviting my mother over for a week long visit! That aught a solve that issue. See, there's ways around everything.
  16. What? No Hello Kitty livery?..... hmmmmm. (Kicks dirt and walks away pouting with arms crossed) lol Nice selection! Are these the ones included with the RTM?
  17. The NGX lighting is awesome! I love departing at night and watching the FO turn on the landing/rnwy turn off lights. But the strobe flash on the ground still amazes me to this day. No point in criticizing PMDG on their level of detail, because they always deliver with the best tech available at the time. Amazing what they can do with such an aging platform. (FSX).
  18. More mods? Not really. But we could sure use more wingflex and Wx radar though... lol.
  19. the only time my wife was speechless, was the moment the box for the engagement ring opened. Since then there's been a constant, whiney drone in the house. And its not from the NGX either. Lol. Love ya honey!!
  20. ohhh, the wingflex debate. How could I omit that stunning piece of work. This issue is all the rage these days. Even on aircraft that have no noticeable wingflex IRL. Amazing how worked up some can get over silly little things like this. After all, isn't about being in the cockpit with PMDG level sims? Virtual cabin is another one that blows my mind. Okay, for the video or replay junkie, I get it. But why waste precious resources on a systems dominant simulation. Just my opinion.
  21. don't forget the ever so popular weather radar request. That one never gets old. Lol
  22. Yup! I get it. When bought the NGX, she said "70 dollars for a game?" Stupid me, I corrected her. No no, its an add-on for my sim. "Its 20 $ more than the damn game its made for?" Meanwhile, as I patiently sat through a relatively gentle reaming, I booked a trip to Tofino for a couple days. And like magic, frowns turned upside down, imaginary airplanes were all of a sudden not a big deal and I stopped sweating profusely into my keyboard. Learned a lot that day. A LOT!
  23. well, at least its free! But the Kardashians? Uggggh. Hope she doesn't make you sit through that. I'd probably pencile myself in an appointment with the angel of death if I had to sit through a marathon of that drivel. Lol. Here's a tip, get the box set (if there is one) and BOOM, instant sim time! Lol.
  24. jeez. Its this kind of neglect that can lead to a house fire. Drool+electronics=a huge bump to you insurance premiums.
  25. Just imagine trying to justify spending ~80$ on an "imaginary" (her own words) plane. Hope its worth it PMDG, I'm in for a world of pain when the CC bill comes in! Lol. She's actually really good with me and my hobby. She understands my obsession. I think.
