That would be a big help.I understand your pain Mitch. I had the same issue with the airports around Friday's Harbor right after installing the update to PNW. I searched their forums and these forums for an answer to the problem as I had heard all of these disappearing runways at the airports were fixed. I have Victoria Plus installed and it was at a higher priority in the Scenery Library until I installed the PNW update. I moved Victoria Plus back up above the PNW entries and the problem no longer exists so layering is definitely the solution. Now I will use the tool in FTX Central to make sure the Insertion Point for PNW is set properly even when it is updated. I saw a thread somewhere recently on AVSIM FSX Forum where someone talked about the proper layering of PNW scenery especially if you have other ORBX scenery installed. Personally I keep it at how it was set up by the developers when PNW was installed. If I have another scenery that is also located in the PNW area, that scenery should go above the FTX entries so that all the guts and glory of the addon scenery can be seen. If FTX PNW is placed on top of addon scenery, it will supersede that scenery and possibly cause conflicts such as the issue you are encountering. Hope this helps.Best regards,Jim

July 12, 201015 yr If you are talking about runways made via the standard method, AFX or FSX Planner, etc, then the runways by themselves (for the most part) do not have flattening properties. So if the asphalt runway is disappearing into and reappearing from the terrain this indicates a problem with a flattening file somewhere. Might be layering of scenery packages and it might just be a missing airport background flatten file.
