July 14, 201015 yr hi guysi need to install win7 again so i just need someone to tell me which one is better for fsx. now i have win7 ultimate 64bit. i install home premium?
July 14, 201015 yr Why spending few bucks for different OS? Spend it for add-ons I suggest. Stay with Ultimate if You already paid for it.I personally think, W7 Pro is good for FSX. Ultimate has too much crap not needed. Premium do not have RDP, which means every installation and software maintenance has to be done in front of the PC, which in my case is not very comfortable - I use flight controllers, not mouse or keyboard. If remote control is not important, W7 Home Premium would be a good choice. July 14, 201015 yr Author first thx for answer me. i need buy another copy anyway because win7 ultimate is for the office and i need buy another copy for the pc i have at home that i use for fsx. honestly i dont use RDP so i dont mind. but theres a patch that allow u to use RDP also on premium S.O.so home premium is better for fsx? is lighter then ultimate so i think i can get more performance, what u think? July 14, 201015 yr If it is not the low end system, there will be no difference in FSX performance. I'd go for Home Premium, since most of the Ultimate features will not be used, and only wasting space - I have OS dedicated SSD drive (30GiB) which would be too small for Ultimate version with all the other FSX's stuff (UT2 and SAPI5 TTS voices lays on system drive).Take a look here and decide what features will be useless (or worth the extra cost):http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/products/compareand make You choice Bartłomiej Ender
