Hi,I've just reinstalled FSX after upgrading my graphics card from an 8800 gts to a GTX470 1280mb. When I start FSX all is well, the User interface displays normally but as soon as I try to load a flight I get a blue screen and a system restart. The info reported after the restart is as follows...BCCode : 1000008e BCP1 : C0000005 BCP2 : BD09A966 BCP3 : B31EB908BCP4 : 00000000 OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 2_0 Product : 256_1C:\DOCUME~1\Mark\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER0380.dir00\Mini071010-06.dmpC:\DOCUME~1\Mark\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER0380.dir00\sysdata.xmlFSX is installed with SP2 and no addons.FS9 by the way works perfectly. Can anyone help?SYSTEM SPECSGigabyte S series motherboardAMD Athlon 64 X 2 Dual Core Processor 5200+ 2.61 ghz2 gb DDR2 RAMNVIDIA GTX470 1280 mbWindows XP ProfessionalSoundblaster Live

You didn't mention a power supply.. Are you sure you are giving your system enough juice?Updated drivers for the new card I'm assuming?L. Schwarz

It appears to be a bad install of your graphics card. With XP you need to uninstall the old driver then run a driver cleaner then install the new drivers. You can check the Event Viewer for more details about the crash (sometimes it gives you good info, sometimes not). You can also download and install software to further investigate BSOD's - http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/Back-U...creenView.shtml.Best regards,Jim

Thanks for the replies,The drivers are the latest available, and the power supply exceeds the cards specs. As I said FS9 runs beautifully. I take your point about a bad driver install though, I'll sweep it clean and try again.Cheers, Mark.
