July 21, 201015 yr First problem... it is not compatible with Go Flight's MCP Pro or EFIS. For the EFIS it would be nice if there were some special key combinations that would map to some of the J41 EFIS-like capabilities such as the Range knob, the Barometric setting and the Left/Right VOR/ADF selector.Another problem I had was with the RMU, apparently you can somehow select between showing COM1/NAV1 and COM2/NAV2 sets but this is not explained in the Pilot's tutorial or the Pilot Intro. On the RMU I have noticed that sometimes it just wouldn't let me program the NAV or COM frequency. I press the appropriate LINE SELECT key, the temp value gets selected (shown in a boxed fashion), I can then use the inner/outer knob (see animation and clicking) but the digits of the frequency just wouldn't change. Clicking on the TRANSFER button works but the actual frequency couldn't be changed. In one ocassion I was doing my cockpit preparation, some 20 minutes into the procedure I went to set m NAV requencies and I couldn't set them (see prev. paragraph). Then after several tries I got the "busy" icon and FSX crashed, all was lost :( Other times I can change the frequency without problem so it is not that I have not used this type of RMU before. Also I have the lever 1 & 2 of my SAITEK TQ mapped to the engine 1/2 axis via FSX. This works fine in most aircraft but in the J41 my SAITEK TQ 0-100% range actually corresponds to about 40-80% of the actual range in the VC TQ, i.e. my IDLE is just above FLIGHT IDLE and my MAX is just under the lower white mark of the VC TQ MAX range. But so far a quite enjoyable simulation and well documented (I own some other payware that were not well documented). I am waiting for the 737 NGX now.Emilio Grimaldo E.G.Freelance IT Consultant www.PanamaVibes.com | www.lordofwingsPTY.com | www.coralys.com @aviationweb
