not getting weather smoothing, need setup help

I was flying in AK and I get severe weather changes, like blue and sunny and clear then poof! socked in, almost 0 visibility. what settings should I be checking?thanks

Hi,I don't know what product of ours and what version of FS you were using. Please give us some more details and I'll be glad to help.Also, if you descending into the FS visibility layer this may be what you are seeing.

sorry, FSX sp2 windows 7 64bitascendingabout 1000-2000' msl range, it was in alaska taking off from kwf heading north/northwestsettings:force high priority process is offdownload new wx every 15 min.hurricanes, addit'l stations, enhanced rt coverage all ondyanamic rate of change 30%I think I might have found the problemthe option: enable visibility graduation and smoothing was OFF,, I would think now that this should be on?

Hi,That is correct. But if there is low visibility and you are above it and then decend, you will still go from high visibility to lower pretty quick due to the way FSX renders the visibility layer.
