July 28, 201015 yr Well, I'm pretty sure the I5 will still run FSX well enough. 2 cores vs 4 in FSX doesn't mean much. Your choice
August 1, 201015 yr Author I have now a beautiful 27" iMac with an i5 quad core on my desk. For the first time ever, I have FSX running with many sliders to the full right, flying around with the default 737 with stormy weather, and I have between 16 and 20 FPS. NEVER had this performance. Seems like I can, with more tweaking and such, enjoy FSX the way I wanted too for a very long time! August 1, 201015 yr Author Yes, got the i5 quad in the end. And nope, didn't do any tweaking yet. Still have a "virgin" FSX install. I will be doing the tweaks soon.
