July 30, 201015 yr In the thread regarding the use of the Usepools tweak it is clearly not recommended to use the ENBSeries mod AKA HDR plugin AKA Russian bloom. Still I wanna ask if anybody using the two together successfully and what spcifications are necessary. I am a strong believer in the ENBseries mod and FSX badly needs some colour correction (not the FTX stuff because that is OK as it is) to darken the textures. For this I have used the HDR plugin successfully in FS2004 but FSX is a different beast. I have a I7-940 OCd to 3,7 GHz. Is this a possibility? What performance van I expect if at all the two work together.Thank you for your insight,Much appreciated,Alex
July 30, 201015 yr I use both and only get some random artifacts every now and then, but that's easily solved by switching to windowed mode and back again. I think that without the ENB mod I'd have those artifacts too btw.I have an i7 920 @ 3.3, GTX 285, 6 GB Ram and use Windows 7. I ONLY use the Bufferpool=0 tweak and no other (like higmemfix or any other tweak that bojote has posted). I tun autogen and all other settings on that page are completely to the right too, apart from water which is at High 2.x. This gives me great performance above rural area's (PNW only here!). Above cities fps goes down, but I don't like flying above cities so that's no problem.I wouldn't want to fly without any of them!

Do you ever fly to bigger airports with AI? Considering that I would not use autogen full right I would think that there could be some compromise worked out. Great to have a confirmation that actually someone is using the two together without too much problem. Thanks for your help,Alex

I only fly GA from smaller airports with AI at 15% or something like that (mainly to see some stationary airports in PNW). Near big cities and large airports a lower autogen setting would certainly help, I guess, but I've been flying PNW only after it was released: maybe other big airports/cities are a bit easier on the system (Portland and Seattle seem to be rather heavy). Anyway, you should be able to use both: the times you may get artifacts can't be predicted: first of all it is very system dependant but even then: sometimes I don't get artifacts at all during a flight and sometimes I get them every minute (usually for a short period). It's all rather random... However the benefit that Bufferpools=0 gives me is worth the 'trouble' every now and then: without the tweak I am not able to fly nicely around the Orbx addon airports for PNW: with it everything is great.
