August 1, 201015 yr I had the same problem and found it has something to do with UIAutomationCore.dllDo a search for that on the forums and I'm sure you'll get it sorted!EDIT: http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtop...omationCore.dllDouble Edit: This is a Win7 problem, I'm assuming that's your OS. If not - this is probably not the cause.Mike

I am really annoyed so if you can assist me fast if possible. Thanks in advanceI think you're having an access violation and you need to turn off the User Account Controls (UAC). In addition, you need to make sure you have the latest C++ Library Redistributables installed as these programs guide installation of a lot of FSX programs. See Step 6 of Nick's excellent guide on setting up FSX: http://www.simforums.com/forums/forum_posts.asp?TID=2904. I would also recommend you install the latest version of dotnet framework as it provides guidance to FSX developers on installing their individual software (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=9CFB2D51-5FF4-4491-B0E5-B386F32C0992&displaylang=en). If you don't have these programs installed and a developer programmed their software using dotnet or CC++ guidance, the program may not install correctly. Once you turn off UAC, you MAY have to reinstall (or do a repair) to FSX and any addons. However, I would try it first without repairing and see if the problem is fixed. I would also like to note that back in the FS9 days with older computer systems, touching the menu with your cursor caused an immediate CTD and was caused mainly by incorrect installation of the video card drivers. However, modern systems and video card driver installation has moved into the 21st century and that should not be the issue. I mention it though as it could be another possibility for the crashes (assuming you had everything I suggested above).Best regards,Jim
