Attn "Rudder" re your query in another thread

Copied from another thread- "This is for january, I am either totaly confused, or not to bright. Are you telling us you can get three views in FSX as you show, without any matrox unit. if this is so, please show us how?. I have been unable to get any Right or left outside views in FSX. I am using two 22 inch and one 25 inch monitors. two video cards. I have no problem moving windowes from one monitor to the other, no outside views. thanks." --------------Rudder- that prior thread was becoming excessively long so thought it best to start a new one. I use FS9, but having collaborated on a multi view FSX config, I know it can be done. Only two video cards, no TH2GO.I simply key [ (square left bracket) to create a new view overlaid on top of the main view. Click on this to set focus, then use the numeric keyboard w Num lock ON to set the actual view such as View Fwd Left . Look up your KB assignments for "Look------" to get the key combinations. Having set the view you wish, undock it, then drag to the secondary monitor and resize to suit. Simple!Since the monitor bezels will force the new view to be physically further away from the main view, the new view should be shifted a few degrees so that it allows for the bezel separation. And so creates what your eyes see as a continuous single view across all monitors as in your car, even though there are windshield posts separating the view segments. This is done in FS9 Panel Cfg or FSX Cfg Camera section- not difficult. But it's another topic.Lots written on this- search the forums for 'multiple monitors'.---------------In that prior thread, the discussion evolved into the nature of the view displayed by a Wide Screen monitor. I have assumed that a wide format view would retain the standard 1.0 zoom and reshape itself to wide format via shearing off some of the top and bottom. I was surprised to see Noel's screenie which instead widened the pic by zooming out. His wide pic (1158x300 resolution compared with the flight sim default view shape of 4:3) equates to a ZoomOut to .35. That amount of ZoomOut should create a view about 130

Alex, thanx . I now it can be done in FS9. Not FSX. as I said before i have been unable to get R-L outside views. If anyone out there can do It let me know. thanks. :(

rudder- The Square Left Bracket ([) key will set up a new/additional view popup in FSX. For setting the desired secondary view in that popup, I think your answer may be found in the FSX Camera SDK. http://www.fs-seine-75.com/SDK/Core%20Util...nfiguration.htmAlex Reid
