This may seem like the silliest question ever, but I am trying to save some space on my desktop (literal) and I was wondering if it is safe to store an external hardrive on top of a PC case. Are there any issues with heat or anything that I should be aware of? Thanks in advance.

Thanks Dazz, That is what I thought but I wanted to check with others in the community first before I fire them up. When it comes to data I wouldn't want to mess around.
