August 11, 201015 yr I've had fs2004 (fs9) for a number of years. Had it on an old Dell Lattitue C600 with embedded NVIDEA chips and worked fine. I've just recently tried to install it on a newer Dell D620 with NVIDEA Quadro NVS chips, and with the basic out of the box installation, the terrain is all out of whack. There is water out of place, and other weird terrain anomolies (strange figures in the middle of taxiways, etc). I've uninstalled and reinstalled- same thing. Tried different video resolution settings, same thing. Any ideas?

Any ideas? When you un-installed, did you manually delete all of the various files and folders which were left behind by the un-install routine? If not, and the issue was rooted in one of those files or folders, it would remain. This "guide" might be useful:http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004misc&DLID=123907Hope that helps.

I feel sorta embarrased. I checked for an updated video driver AFTER I posted here. That fixed it. Should've checked that first. Thanks again for replying, and sorry for wasting forum space!
