ASE Build 586 Broke current_wx_snapshot.txt file

Featured Replies

Hi all,I'm pretty sure the latest build 586 broke the output to the current_wx_snapshot.txt file. It was working fine, but after a few external programs such as TOPCAT and FSBUILD were getting some very wierd data, I decided to investigate. It turns out the date/time stamp on my copy of the file hasn't been updated since the last time I was running ASE SP1. This is on my wideFS/Simconnect-client PC. Current data displayed in the ASE GUI seems to be jiving with what I see in FSX however.

Hi Al,Mine is updating as I just checked. If ASE is showing the current weather then this file has to be updating. We really didn't touch too much with this update. Are you looking in the Documents and Settings/UserName/Application Data/HiFi/ASE/Weather folder for the file? Is ASE using Real time? Is Automatic Download checked On?

Ah, that was it Jim; I was missing the last "weather" subdirectory for the path. Funny though, I had an older copy of that snapshot file in the ASE (one directory up). I wonder how that got there :( Thanks again and regards,
