Getting rid of NW and using Delta in AI

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,Does anyone know where I can go to edit my AI to reflect the fact the NW doesn't really fly anymore? I have airnav's trafficx, but NW still shows up, especially in their regional jets. Can I switch those for delta paints instead or else reassign NW aircraft to Delta versions? IF there is a link or other post that can help, can you send me that way also?

You have a couple of options to take. I don't have TrafficX, but it appears from their web site that the product comes with a tool, Traffic Control Centre, that allows you to edit or add flight plans. It would require sorting on airline for NWA, and substituting Delta and then selecting an aircraft of the appropriate type with a Delta paint. If the regionals are set to use their own callsign, then you can leave the airline alone and just replace the aircraft. Alternatively, if for some reason you don't want to edit your flightplans, you could simply copy your Delta aircraft and edit the "Title=" in aircraft.cfg so the copy version of this line is identical to that used in your existing NW aircraft aircraft.cfg. After editing rename the obsolete NW "Title=" as FSX will complain if there are two or more aircraft with the same title. If you do this, the Delta paints will be used, but ATC will still use "Northwest" as a callsign, so it isn't as good a solution as the first option.Just Flight has tutorials on this web page, which should help you with the edits:http://www.justflight.com/trafficX-home.aspscott s..
