hey guys, I just upgraded my computer a ton and I noticed something strange...I used to run FS2004 at 1280X1024X32 at very respectable frame rates most of the time..after my upgrades I can run it at 1600X1200X32 with no loss in fps..i used to get about a 20 percent loss at that resolution..can anyone explain?? hardware config is at bottomP2 2.531 GB of pc2700 RAM dual pipelined on an ABIT IC-7 M/B with the 875 chipsetGeForce FX 5900 Ultra running on 45.23 WHQL detsAudigy 2Sony HMD 400 19" monitorand a partridge in a pear tree :)

It's the 5900 Ultra that you added. Seems to be a bit faster than the old card :-) . Anytime the framerate gets lower at higher resolutions it's because of the video card getting bogged down. Replace it with a much faster card and the framerate at higher resolutions is just as fast as the lower resolutions. That's the tremendous advantage of the "super cards" like the 5900 Ultra and the 9800 Pro - the high-resolution performance is really, really good.Doug
