Linking machines running FSX

Featured Replies

OK I've heard about doing this but even after searching I can't find the info on how.I have 2 machines My main one running Win 7 pro 64 and another running XP pro 32 I'd like to run my weather and ATC on the xp box and link to the FSX install on the Win 7 box. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Ok, some pointouts. Check out the FSUIPC and WideFS, those two you are going to necessarily need. Simmarket holds them ready...You will need to configure both computers correctly to network with each other, while networking XP with W7 can be a tricky thing, especially when it comes to file sharing and stuff. Just google it, there are zillion articles on that. It works, I can assure you, I have it here working perfectly (XP on the laptop, W7x64 main machine). Also look in the Simconnect forum how to correctly set up Simconnect, as it's another protocol needed for FSX, beside WideFS. It all depends which programs you are using and which protocol they are using.Hope it helps.
