August 22, 201015 yr Hi all,I've experienced an unusual behaviour from time to time at cruise altitude, where the plane starts bobbing up and downlike a floating object on the sea. Anyone knows what could be the cause?ThanksJose De Campos Jose De Campos London
August 22, 201015 yr Hey Jose, The up down issue is normally one of two. 1 is you should have a registered version of the FSUIPC and set your settings to something like this. Default weather and addons can have some drastic and abrubt changes to the Baro which can do this. The other issue is improper Take Off trim, but I'm sure you know how to fix that one. i9 10920x @ 4.8 ~ MSI Creator x299 ~ 256 Gb 3600 G.Skill Trident Z Royal ~ EVGA RTX 3090ti ~ Sim drive = M.2 2-TB ~ OS drive = M.2 is 512-gb ~ 5 other Samsung Pro/Evo mix SSD's ~ EVGA 1600w ~ Win 10 Pro Dan Prunier
August 22, 201015 yr Hi Jose, I just remembered another posibility from a problem I had a long time ago. If you're trying to climb higher than the FMC says is recommended without doing step climbs. I only experienced this problem once and it was in the 747-400. I was doing a long flight and decided to push it up a couple thousand feet above max alt. I didn't have enough thrust (of course I shouldn't have done it either). It kept the cruise power set but couldn't reach speed or maintain alt at the given cruise speed with thrust settings. I was able to fix the problem with setting my thrusts in the thrust page to TO (takeoff) thrust. After that it climbed fine and I later learned more about the need for step climbs and haven't had that issue since. i9 10920x @ 4.8 ~ MSI Creator x299 ~ 256 Gb 3600 G.Skill Trident Z Royal ~ EVGA RTX 3090ti ~ Sim drive = M.2 2-TB ~ OS drive = M.2 is 512-gb ~ 5 other Samsung Pro/Evo mix SSD's ~ EVGA 1600w ~ Win 10 Pro Dan Prunier
