August 21, 200322 yr They don't say anywhere wh's in the patch, just an exectutable file to download- anyone know what's been updated?Best,Joel
August 21, 200322 yr JoelNo I don't know either, I have only one problem, in that the GPS icon does not bring it up, small problem I know. Shift 4 I use though.Anthony.......
August 21, 200322 yr Something goofy going on with that GPS...It worked fine in FS9 before the patch, but I just looked at the Panel.cfg after the patch and they don't even call the FS9 GPS now! So I changed the Panel.cfg Window 3 to this:[Window03]size_mm=456,378window_size=0.5position=8BACKGROUND_COLOR=0,0,0VISIBLE=0ident=GPS_PANELgauge00=fs9gps!gps_500, 0,0Still no work. Swapped out the GPS icon for the icon from the Baron, and now it works. Something corrupt with Carenado's GPS icon??? Don't know... but for anyone wanting to make it work with the Baron GPS icon, here's the change to make in the Panel.cfg:gauge39=Beech_Baron!GPS Icon, 262,710,18,18The only thing to change in the line is the "Beech_Baron!GPS Icon" from what is in the original Carenado panel.cfg.
August 21, 200322 yr Hi Greg,I have downloaded the update but haven't installed yet. Just wanted to say thanks for the heads-up and fix for what you have listed as a potential problem after installing the update. :)Jim
August 21, 200322 yr Maybe it's my imagination, but wasn't there a patch released for FS9 a while ago? I have it running fine in FS9 at the moment and am wondering if I need a new patch? I've read what it's supposed to fix but I don't have any of those problems!StrangeRegardsTimhttp://www.cambridgeflyingclub.com/images/timavatar2.jpg
August 21, 200322 yr Under the News section on their site it says:The upgrade includes: -Better dinamics for FS2004 -Instruments and knobs fully animated in VC -Doors sound -Tune up of some gauges
August 21, 200322 yr Hi Jim,Would it be possible to send me the Panel.cfg you're using now (prior to the latest patch). I'm curious about what has changed to make their GPS icon stop functioning. E-mail addy is in my sig. While I've not had alot of time to fly the airplane with this latest patch, it does seem to fly closer to the "numbers". Climb and cruise speeds seem more accurate. More flying will tell the tale. I did notice that the .air file was updated after the patch. Thanks,
August 21, 200322 yr Author How are you guys able to download the patch? Everytime I put in the username and password all I get is a page that says "UPDATES" but there are no links on that page at all - just a blank page. I've turned off all the "protection stuff" and "popup stuff" here but I still can't see a link. Any clues would be helpful.Doug Intel 10700K @ 5.1Ghz, Asus Hero Maximus motherboard, Noctua NH-U12A cooler, Corsair Vengeance Pro 32GB 3200 MHz RAM, RTX 2060 Super GPU, Cooler Master HAF 932 Tower, Thermaltake 1000W Toughpower PSU, Windows 10 Professional 64-Bit, 100TB of disk storage. August 21, 200322 yr Hi Greg,What I did was install the Centurion in FS2004 and ran the update for FS2002 on it. I still have not installed the FS2004 update and I decided to just 'attach' here in this post. I hope that works ok for you. ;)Cheers,Jim
August 21, 200322 yr Doug... I had problems, too. I had to create a new password. I saved my purchase receipt from last month, but nowhere on it is my original password. Once I created a new one for my username I was good to go. Don't know why we have to do this just to get an update?Jim... thanks for the panel.cfg. I compared yours with the new one, and they are indeed different. The difference is in the GPS window (Window03). I simply copied and pasted the... (Window3)<< should be square brackets... section into the new panel.cfg and now everything works fine. Click on the GPS icon and the Garmin 295 pops up.Thanks again,
August 22, 200322 yr For the gps icon to work change the ident to 23-[Window03]size_mm=456,378window_size=0.5position=8BACKGROUND_COLOR=0,0,0VISIBLE=0ident=23gauge00=gps!gps, 0,0
August 22, 200322 yr Author Thanks Greg. I just sent them an e-mail to try and get it all sorted out. But I gotta tell ya, I'm about to stop buying anything. The stuff we have to put up with is getting more than I want to fool with. I have to reformat a couple of drives this weekend and I'm really not looking forward to what I'm going to have to do just to reinstall software that I've already paid for. It's just getting to be too much. My life doesn't revolve around the anti-piracy needs of some airplane developer. End of rant. Time for my medicine.....Doug Intel 10700K @ 5.1Ghz, Asus Hero Maximus motherboard, Noctua NH-U12A cooler, Corsair Vengeance Pro 32GB 3200 MHz RAM, RTX 2060 Super GPU, Cooler Master HAF 932 Tower, Thermaltake 1000W Toughpower PSU, Windows 10 Professional 64-Bit, 100TB of disk storage.
