Driver Question

Featured Replies

Hello, I'm currently running an EVGA GTX470. I'm going to take advantage of the step up program and move to a GTX480. This means I'll be without an Nvidia card for about a week. I have an old ATI card that I could use as a back up. Not for flying but just for web surfing. My question is, if I uninstall the nvidia drivers, am I safe to install the ATI drivers without having to do a full Windows 7 reinstall? I have an old laptop that I could use in the interim, but I would prefer to use my desktop. Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.

Yes, It's definetly fine to unistall the Nvidia drivers and install ATI, just make sure you use a program like "Driver Sweeper" (free) to make sure all traces are gone after you uninstall.
