No you do not -Please get the tutorial I linked to in another of your posts and study it. Most, if not all, your questions are answered in it.Also you should get the utility named Traffic Tools by Lee Swordy and study the excellent Help file which comes with it.http://library.avsim...04ai&DLID=34731

The traffic file basic concepts are the same in FS2004 and FSX.It is good reading.
