September 11, 201015 yr I'm curious as to how the Force Destination Weather option works when DWC is turned on and a flight plan has been entered in Active Sky EnhancedAs I understand, when DWC is on, the weather all around the world will be exactly the same as the weather at your aircrafts present location. This obviously causes a problem when getting ATIS for arrival airports, as they will report the same conditions as your present position. Will Force Destination Weather fix this behavior? If it does, does it change the global weather to the same as the surface weather at destination once you get to 80 miles out? Or does it force layers of weather that match the reports at destination? September 12, 201015 yr Hi,No, Force Destination will not solve the ATIS issue. Force Destination is an AS option only and FS has no knowledge of this option.
September 12, 201015 yr Author Does Force Destination Wx Zone have no affect when Direct Wind Control is on then? Phil Brown
September 13, 201015 yr Author Then how does DWC and Force Sest wx work together? If it doesn't solve the ATIS issue, then surely this is because the destination still has the same weather as my current position and level, in which case the destination weather is not being forced at the 80 mile limit? Phil Brown
September 14, 201015 yr Hi,With DWC On ATIS reads the current location conditions.Force destination looks at the destination conditions and sets an 80 mile radius of that weather. ATIS is still going to read the current location conditions. Within 80 miles you are still going to be at a pretty high altitude so ATIS is going to read this.
