Lack of Memory Crash of FS9

Featured Replies

I was enjoying a beautiful flight from ATL to BZN (Bozeman, Montana) in a PMDG 747-400 into a setting sun when just outside of Billings getting ready to start my descent when FS9 crahed to desktop telling me there wasn't enough memory. I have a Core2 Quad with an Invidia 9800 GTX video card so I was surprised when this happened. Running along side FS9 was Active Sky Evolution both of which were activated via Multi-Core Environment. Any suggestions as to how to avoid this in the future? Thank You in Advance, Tom Helwick, Livingston, Montana

Hey Tom,Here are some links pertaining to the issue yo9u are having. It is a pretty well known issue, especially when taking into account some of the more "intense" add-ons. The good news is that this information may help you out as it has worked for a lot of folks.http://www.simforums.com/forums/topic24500.htmlhttp://flightsimaviation.blogspot.com/2010/06/fix-fsx-out-of-memory-oom-errors.htmlHope this helps!
