Weather: Microsoft and I don't live in the same world...

Featured Replies

I was happy to see the new weather system in FS2004, which can update the weather depending on the real weather, based on Jeppesen information.I live in Paris, and I was flying from LFPG to LFPO (the 2 international airports around Paris). The real weather was very nice, sunny, blue sky with some little clouds. But in FS2004, there was fog, very low clouds, poor visibility. This is not what I call real weather...Have you ever experienced the same?Eric

I could be wrong, but I think there was a faq put out by ms that you need to delete your temp internet files in ie. Apparently, it may load a previous weather download if you don't.http://mywebpages.comcast.net/geofa/pages/Geofdog2.jpg

WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!

I'll test this.Where is the FAQ you're talking about? Thanks !!Eric

A good case in point. Here I am sitting on the runway at Cabo San Lucas Mexico (MM0F) and clear skies, calm winds when in reality there is a hurricane Ignacio packing 90mph winds just 60 miles away.I flew into it last night when there was 70mph winds and the best RW could do was 6 or 7 mph winds and clouds. That was at 4000'.My browser is set to delete Temporary Internet files when the program closes out.Brent Hebert
