September 17, 201015 yr hi all, i just installed FS9 on my computer... just a plain express install... no flight sim has ever been installed.. However.. when i go to run it.. i ge ta scenery error message saying area.039 has not been found.I have no idea what to do... FS9 seems to run ok.. without any problems.. however im concerned something may not be right that i am just not seeing yet... Is there a way to fix this?Hope to hear back from someone :)

Is there a way to fix this?Hope to hear back from someone :)In a fresh, default installation - with nothing else added in the way of additional scenery enhancements - there is no area 39. Area 38 is the last default entry.Try this: In your main Flight Simulator 9 folder, locate the file named scenery.cfg. Make a backup of it now. Then using Notepad, open the scenery.cfg file and scroll down to the very end of the file. The last two entries should be as follows:[Area.037]Title=Propeller ObjectsLocal=Scenery\propsLayer=37Active=TRUERequired=TRUERemote=[Area.038]Title=Addon SceneryLocal=Addon SceneryLayer=38Active=TRUERequired=FALSERemote=If you find anything below the last line above (Remote=), delete it - so the data you see above under [Area.38] is the last data you see.Let us know if that stops the strange error message.
