Hi all,Quick question: I have downloaded the WSSS AFCAD file from AVSIM but am not very sure as to where to place the extracted .bgl file. Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is for FSX and the link is: http://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=108518Thanks,S

Well, if the file works like most all others, it should be placed in your FSX Addon Scenery\Scenery folder.

Unfortunately, the author simply gives you the file. You need to do a bit more work and set up the folders for it. Navigate to where the file is. Inside the same folder that you find the file, create a new folder called: scenery. Cut WSSS - Changi.bgl and paste it into the new scenery folder. Now you should have the folder wsss_fsx with the scenery folder inside of it and WSSS - Changi.bgl inside of that. From there it's simply a matter of adding it to your scenery list through the normal manual process. Do you know how to do that?Just in case, this is the instruction set I packaged with one of my sceneries on how to register it with FSX:
REGISTERING THE SCENERY WITH FSX:FSX won't know that the Kauai scenery is there. You have to tell it.1) Start FSX. On the Main Screen select Settings from the menu on the left and Scenery Library... from the menu that appears on the right. The Settings - Scenery Library screen will open.2A) (WinXP) On the right, select: Add Scenery... and navigate to where you placed the Kauai scenery. When you click on the "The Hawaiian Islands - Kauai" folder, the boxes at the bottom of the navigation screen will automatically fill in. Click OK.2B) (Win7) On the right, select: Add Scenery... and navigate to where you placed the Kauai scenery and select it. The path will show as: Directory (left of the OK button). Click OK.The directory window will clear and show the Scenery folder name. Now click somewhere in that large white area below the folder names and the area is added. Only the right click is new, but vital.3) With the navigation screen closed, you will be back in the Settings - Scenery Library screen. The Kauai scenery will be at the top of the list and check marked. Click OK.Enjoy.
Obviously, just substitute the folder name of your scenery for "The Hawaiian Islands - Kauai".Rich
