Screen refresh hotkey

Featured Replies

Hi guysIn a recent post, i saw a reference to setting a screen refresh hotkey. I think that it's to do with clearing redundant stuff out of the memory as your flight proceeds. i think that JohnCi was the hot key designer but I have not been able to find the specific.any lead and comments on the effectiveness of the 'fix' eould be appreciated.

I think it works, but is there a joystick key assignment available to so this (I didn't see one), or does it have to be set up through FSUIPC?

Go into the keyboard assignments page under the Options menu and assign a key to the "Refresh Scenery" function. You can also assign a joystick button to that function on the same line. I'm sure that it could be done under FSUIPC too but it seems like overkill. R-

Thanks Ron. I will give it a try out. By the way, do you know if it is possible to assign a key to a 3rd party prog like FSNav within the FS9 assignments rather than through FSUIPC.

Hot Key for FS Nav is and allways has been F9Joe

Hi JoeNot quite what I meant.Basically I want to have the FSNav set on one of my joystick buttons. But I cannot because FSNav does not show in the assignments list.

Then in the Joystick program ( If the Joy is programable) you can set the button of choice to f9 by reporgraming it. When I'm MP'in I have the brake button ( Button #1) set for the right ctrl key. In Teamspeak I have the right ctrl button set for " push to talk" ..... so when I'm in MP and using teamspeak ... To talk I just pull the trigger ( Button #1) Joe W
