Hi all,Is there a method to force FS2004 to show the runway numbers on the tarmac as at least 2 digits? Rwy03 is currently shown as just 3, for example, whereas "03" would be correct. Thanks for any helpChris

Hello Chris,This feature was added in Flight Simulator X, because the only way to do what you want in FS 9 is to create custom runway numbers or textures and lay them down over the default elements.Best regards.Luis

Hello:You could try placing a "0" and "3" decal object from this scenery object library next to and on top of the existing "3" RWY marker to see if it looks OK to you:VFR Letters SS V2 FS9 scenery objectshttp://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004sd&DLID=110533Making custom RWY "textures" to substitute for 1 or 2 default FS texture types (of the few that the SDK normally supplies for AFCAD2 type airport BGLs) is probably possible, but would involve a rather arcane process fraught with sometimes unpredictable results.I'm not sure where the FS2004 default numeric RWY markings themselves would be accessed, as IIRC they are separate from the markings used to create TAXI sign markings.A concern might be that changes to one RWY custom texture "TYPE" might affect all other RWYs using that same custom AFCAD texture in airports throughout the FS world on your system.Alternatively, IIUC, one would have to create a textured custom ground polygon in GMAX with some additional SDK and "work-around" unofficial tweaks to the ASM file etc. BTW: Bill Womack (aka "spotlope") wrote an excellent tutorial for doing this in FSX here:http://www.simpilotnet.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=206&Itemid=32 For FS2004, I'd be inclined to first see if the "decal" approach might suffice. :( PS: In either case, placing the "top" object slightly {ex: approximately 0.125 Feet or 0.0381 Meters} above the ground / RWY surface level may help eliminate "Z-buffer" flickering or gray striation artifacts. FYI: Such "Z-buffer" artifacts are caused by a superimposed textured planar object placed too close above another object; it varies with the video card and its driver version / configuration, so allowing a small elevation gap between planar superimposed objects may prevent this for a greater number of users in the FS Community). :( Hope this helps ! :smile:GaryGB
