FMC

Recommended Posts

Hi All, Although I live in the UK, I fly mostly in the USA due to the great variety of airports and distances of flight, and for the most part airport STARS are usually quite straight forward and uncomplicated. For a change I used a european flight from EGPF (Glasgow) to EDDF (Frankfurt Germany). The route ended at ROLIS and I selected the STAR for RW25R and was amazed at the complexity of it and even more so as to how the FMC managed to overcome the twists and turns so accurately and ended with an excellent landing. I mention this to highlight the skill of the PMDG team in developing an FMC with such simulated accuracy. Its no wonder we have to wait so long for products as these guys do the job properly instead of hits and misses found in other so called aircraft products. For info, I did screenshots of the ND but unfortunately I dont have the ability to post them here, sad to say. richard welsh.

Superbly put together,Richard.I could not have put it better.Having already purchased the 'Queen of the Skies' when she first came out of the PMDG stable long time ago,and seen what they did there, which is why I patiently waited....erm,waited.....waited, for them to finally deliver the even far more excellent MD-11 which is truly awesome. If you happen to read PC Pilot you'll note that they gave it even higher plaudits than the original 'Queen of the Skies'.It and its subsequent J4100 are, togther with Level-D's output, the benchmarks for other Flightsim aircraft add-on developers to follow, and if it costs more then it is a price worth paying if the development is anything like PMDG and Level-D.Only IMHO.
