October 8, 201015 yr I was trying to set up the weather for one of my IFR flights (KATL-KMCO) and for some reason my weather settings doesn't seem to be memorized. For example for my flight, I was trying to have showers, overcast skies, 10mi visibility, and light winds & turbulence in the Atlanta area. Then for central Georgia I was trying to put broken skies up until north Florida. Then for the Central Florida Area I was trying to put winds from the south, with few clouds, and light wind. After starting up my flight to takeoff from Atlanta, there's no showers and the weather conditions are the ones that are suppose to be for Central Florida. I remember doing this same weather settings procedure in FS2004 with no problems, so what am I doing wrong. Does FSX does not program the weather in the same manner as FS2004, or there's another procedure that needs to be taken for FSX to memorize the weather settings?Thank You for any help in this matter...Best Regards, Visit Us at www.virtualeastern.com
October 8, 201015 yr Based on what happened to you, it sounds like you hadn't selected "a specific weather station", but I don't think it's possible since this option is automatically selected when you make a selection on the map. I haven't been using this option since I use ASA, but it seemed to work okay when I tried it. After assigning weather to all of the stations, you might check them on the map and verify that weather is indicated as you configured it. Art

October 9, 201015 yr Do I have to click on the "choose station" box for a successful weather conditions set up? and what is ASA?That's what I did, but my experience was that if you click on a weather station or outline several, the bullet automatically appears at choose station and the station name or "multiple stations" appears. Therefore, it doesn't seem possible to screw up. Again, check the weather on the map after beginning the flight and see if the proper weather is indicated at each station you set up. I have found, however, what you see looking out the window is not always the same. Art
