September 11, 200322 yr I've heard that any Geforce MX card cannot display reflections! Whether its Geforce 2 MX or Geforce 4 MX
September 11, 200322 yr Author That is correct. The reflections on the water use bumpmapping, a DirectX 8-class feature. The Geforce2 and the Geforce4 MX both only support up to the DirectX7 feature-set. They are DirectX8/9 compatible but they do not support the full feature set of the newer versions which means that in DirectX8 or 9 games you are likely to miss out on some special effects..To see the reflections, you need a Geforce3, Geforce4 Ti or GeforceFX, or an ATI Radeon 8500 or later. -

I have an ATI Radeon 7200 and have been searching for a definitive answer as to why I don't get the sun reflecting on the surface of the water.I searched at the ATI site and also e-mailed them but all to no avail. Thanks,Robert
September 24, 200322 yr Thanks man....The card I'll be buying the next couple of weeks will likely be the GeForce FX 5200 128mb.So I just wanted to make sure you'll get water reflections and all that nice stuff!! that I can't get with my actual Ge Force4 MX 420...is all this true???ThanksDaniel Halpern FFX/SGA Daniel Halpern The Aircraft Profile Project Follow: @Aircraft_PP Complete Collection
