Been there, done that. Nowadays if I anticipate more than a couple lines I do the response in NOTEPAD and paste it. Then If I screw it up, I still have the original. ONLY when I see it online do I flush the original...Now to your issue - but first, have you read back through previous posts? Seems like I'm always seeing the same basic question about why don't I see scenery like is posted in online pix or YouTube or why is my scenery blurry. There are too many possibilities for a quick answer.Your topic description refers to 30cm textures but there's nothing in your ini that enables more than 120cm (1.2m)max_lod=15 << this limits TileProxy actions to 1.2m max resolution.# Maximum number of bytes allocated to BMP graphics tiles in RAM at any time (0 for unlimited)# The value below states 100 MB.cache_bytes_limit=100000000 << this is too low: bump up 10X (to 1000 MB )# Maximum number of BMP tiles to cache in RAM at any time (0 for no limit).cache_tiles_limit=100000 << remove limit with "0" or raise to 200-250K. You have plenty of memory to work with.[Acme Globe Service] << this is a dummy sample section - you can delete it[service Example 1]min_level=9max_level=17level_mapping=9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19If you use level mapping, the levels and mapping have to match. But if you use no substitutions, then it doesn't do anything.But it should look like this:min_level=9max_level=19level_mapping=9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19FSX only displays levels 10 to whatever the FSX terrain resolution is set at. You should probably havemin_level=10max_level=19-- without the LOD8 scenery that is available in this package. I don't use it so my settings look like this.-Or-min_level=11max_level=19-- with the LOD8 scenery; you don't make the LOD8 scenery[service Example 3]min_level=5max_level=17What is this min/max arrangement? min should be 10 or 11 as above...Ditto the service 4 levels.All this assumes you have FSX set for "1m" terrain resolution. If it is set higher, then FSX will "waste" processing power to make 60cm textures from the 1.2m source imagery and you still won't see sharper texture.It doesn't deal at all with the quality of the svc 3 imagery at your chosen location.It also doesn't deal with the mipbias parameter I need in my FSX.cfg to keep the midrange and beyond from being a blurry mess.The 1m resolution scenery only extends about outward for 1km at the medium range and 1.5km at the slider max right. To get 1m imagery beyond that you have to manually set the range in the FSX.cfg (LOD_RADIUS=5.5 or 6.5) which can be handled by quad-cores pretty well.The higher resolutions cover such a small area (immediately under the aircraft only) that if you fly mostly from the cockpit, you will rarely see them, but that is your choice. I limit myself to 2m usually and fly from the chase view in order to see it.Loyd

Wow, thank you for your reply. I actually read back a couple of pages and copied and pasted one of your .ini files you posted for someone else. When I did that the qualitly was even worse. I'm going to read your description vary carefully and report back.. Thanks again!
