FS9 Splash Screen Position.

Featured Replies

Hi All, I know it may sound a bit trivial but!, after moving from the default 800X640 or whatever it was display setting for fs9, when I now start up fs9 the splash screen is three quarters of the way up,and the same to the left on my monitor, just the splash scren, everything else in fs is OK, it's just a bit niggly thats all, anyone got any ideas here as to how to fix this,PS, it's the same in 1024x768x32, and 1280x960x32 as well, thanksSteve.

Not positive on this but in FS9.CFG under the {MAIN} ( use brackets instead theres a setting:Location=56,92,943,759This might be the coordinates of the opening screen - try changing them ( be sure to record the original numbers somewhere.hth, vic

SteveI've had this happen also. The window in FS9 windowed mode is off center. To fix:1. Alt/Enter FS9 into windowed mode2. This must be done with a true window; not the splash screen or menu, so select a flight and start it up.3. You should see that the window is off center. Grab the Title Bar with the mouse and drag the window to fill the entire screen. The maximize window button won't fix it because the window is probably already maximized but only off-center.4. Alt/Enter to full screen.5. Exit and start FS9 again.I have no idea how mine occasionally got this way but I suspect it had to do with the many combinations of screens and resolutions I've tried.

Hi BoB,I tried it, but no joy, thanks for trying anyway mateySteve

well, what can I say, I just fired up FS9 and when it came to the start-up screen, I just moved it to the centre of the monitor and Voila, it's central now.thanks to bob for the insight,Steve
