hi all is it possible to enable the windscreen rain effects on addon aircraft??.i'd like to have them on the dreamfleet archer. best wishes steveUK

>hi all >is it possible to enable the windscreen rain effects on addon>aircraft??.i'd like to have them on the dreamfleet archer.>> best wishes> steveUKI don't use any add-on aircraft, so I haven't got anything to test. I actually thought the effects were enabled in the sim by default, and all that could be done was to actually disable them. Perhaps it is now coded in the aircraft.mdl file somewhere. That said, you could try adding this line to the "effects" stanza in the aircraft.cfg file:windshield_rain_effect_available = 1

Changes to the model file must be made to enable the rain effect on the VC.-Todd

Right... and until the SDK is released we won't know what to change....Brian

>Right... and until the SDK is released we won't know what to>change....>>BrianA wierd thing I've noticed is that the Curtiss Jenny has that line in the effect stanza that I mentioned above (but with a zero value). Maybe it's just my setup, but whether I make the value a 1 or a 0, the rain effects in the windshield are always there.

thanks everyone guess ill wait for sdk best wsihes steveUK
