September 20, 200322 yr For those who want this capability you can create a couple of batch files to rename the file. I use the .xml file when I'm not flying into places like KORD in weather :(). Otherwise it is renamed to default.bak.For the uninitiated, simply right-click the desktop, create a new TEXT file and put the following into it and save:D:CD Flight~2 CD Autogenren default.xml default.bakMake another one to revert back:D:CD Flight~2 CD Autogenren default.bak default.xmlFYI: 1. The "D:" is to change drives as my install of FS9 is on my D: drive.2. The "CD Flight~2" is because I have 2 directories starting as Flight xxxxx on my D drive: one is Flight One Softare, the other Flight Simulator. Good old DOS names them in seq as Flight~1, Flight~2, etc. Oh, the "CD" is to Change Directory.3. "ren" is the abbreviation for rename.Cheers,Noel Noel System: 9900X3D Noctua NH-D15 G2, MSI Pro 650-P WiFi, G.SKILL 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000, WD NVMe 2Tb x 1, Sabrent NVMe 2Tb x 1, RTX 4090 FE, Corsair RM1000W PSU, Win11 Home, LG Ultra Curved Gsync Ultimate 3440x1440, Phanteks Enthoo Pro Case, TCA Boeing Edition Yoke & TQ, Cessna Trim Wheel, RTSS Framerate Limiter w/ Front Edge Sync.
