September 22, 200322 yr the saphire 9500 does not give the same performance as an original ati 9500 "pro". My advice. if you cant get your hands on an original ati 9500 pro then get the 9600 pro ...les performance but the saphhire is not all what its cooked up to be AMD Ryzen 9800X3D/ Asus ROG Strix B650E F Gaming WiFi / Asrock Taichi 9070XT / 32GB G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo DDR5 6000 / 2x ADATA XPG 8200 Pro NVME / Arctic Liquid Freezer II 280 / Seasonic Vertex 1000w PSU / Lian Li LanCool II Mesh Performance / Asus VG34VQL3A / Topping E70 Velvet DAC & L70 Amp /Sennheiser HD660s2 Thrustmaster Boeing Yoke + TCA Sidestick + TFRP Rudders
September 22, 200322 yr There is no "original ATI 9500 PRO"ATI just make chips and companies like Saphire assemble cards.
September 22, 200322 yr Mine won't be stock, mine will have the Warp11 Bios to bring it up to the 9700Pro, the 9500NP is just the same as an 9700 with a different BIOS.
September 22, 200322 yr >Mine won't be stock, mine will have the Warp11 Bios to bring>it up to the 9700Pro, the 9500NP is just the same as an 9700>with a different BIOS.There's a hell of a lot more to it than that.First things first without sounding like an A** but this belongs in the hardware forum not here. That said, do you realize exactly what you are doing? You really should before you go and attempt the mods you speak of. You do realize that the NP is the card you want if you want to do the softmod. You do realize that approx 50% of all modable 9500np cards with the L-shaped memory config can be successfully softmodded, the rest will exhibit artifacting/checkerboarding when all 8 pixel pipelines and 256bit memory interface are enabled. Also, heat affects the stability of the VPU. The stock cooler usually will not cut it.You can try the hack that is included with the latest Omega drivers but as is stated above, it's a crap shoot as to wether it will work or not. I have had very good luck performing this mod but there has also been a Change to the layout on the PCboard and it seems the last of the available 9500 don't take to the mod as easily.BE VERY CAREFUL FLASHING YOUR BIOS. This is no joke and if not done properly will render your card USELESS.This was a popular mod when the 9700's were so exspensive. With the price of a 9700 were it is today this mod no longer really makes sense.Good luck and be careful.Bobby

September 22, 200322 yr >There is no "original ATI 9500 PRO">ATI just make chips and companies like Saphire assemble>cards.Actually your wrong. ATI did manufactur OEM 9500Pro's. Unless I can't read, the one I have in front of me came in an ATI Box. Sorry but they did.Bobby
