why so few repaints? I would think a popular plane in real life, and a great high quality addon now after the sp it's basically perfect. There are so many nice repaints in real life that could be done!

Probably because they don't offer a layered paint kit and most people don't want to have to deal with layer blending modes. It is also their most expensive addon yet.
