October 19, 201015 yr Fly Legacy will not load and I get a 'will not initiate' error message. I have tried removal and re-installation a couple of times with no success. I have did a fresh install of Fly!II patched to V.240 before attempting the installation of Fly Legacy and it runs fine. I am running it on an HP Core 2 Duo laptop with 1 GB of RAM.Does anyone have suggestions as to how I can get it to start?Cheers,

And have you tried downloading the SQL database files and setting that up as well? I have difficulty with the SQL setup myself, but running the install of the Alpha 0.3.3 without the SQL stuff worked okay for me. I even was able to get one of my TerraScene areas to work - although the elevations were terribly off. Be sure to re-read the install notes. If I recall correctly, FlyLegacy will need to copy or have available via a path call to Fly!II for six or seven pod files it requires. Can also check out the sourceforge.net site for more information. That pretty much is all that is required for the installation at this point - plus one patch file which deals with joystick control for CH products. What video card do you have? I use an ATI Radeon mobility on the laptop and had no issues. Other than that, can try going to the Fly!Legacy section at ROTW's site: http://fly.simvol.org/indexus.phpCheers! ___________________________ Kenneth E Wood Jr 🌪️🌩️ ex AG1, USN (14yr Vet) Weather Foecaster
February 18, 201115 yr Hello Ken,I tried the install on a desktop as well as the laptop without success.... so I have gone back to Fly!II ... with new joystick and pedals. I believe I had set all the pointers to the pod files in Fly!, but I don't recall loading the SQL databases so maybe that was my problem. I will attempt a re-install on another laptop that has an ATI video card as that could also have been the cause of the failure to install. I had been hoping for an updated version of Fly Legacy before attempting a another install. Thanks for your help.Cheers, Brian.
