Graduated visibility

Featured Replies

Seems to be an ongoing issue with visibilty / haze effect which has not noticeably improved with beta629.As I climb or descend, the haze effect/visiblity comes and goes abruptly at various altitudes. At cruise, the haze effect is visible most of the time below me, usually when there is cloud around, even though the cloud is often 10,000+ ft below me. It's been like that since I got ASE. It's not a big deal for me, but is a little annoying.I have disable FSX haze = Y, graduated vis = Y, DWC is ON (since I bought ASE months ago, I have always had it set this way as I typically fly big jets, high altitude), using build 629. I noticed with build 629, there is a new window to put in 'clear vis altitude' or something to that affect, I set it to 12,000, restarted ASE, and expected not to see anything but clear visibility with no haze/graduated visibility above 12,000AGL...but not happening.Possibly related...or not...there seems to be a constant light turbulence at cruise...the IAS flickers up and down 2-3 kts although the winds are not changing direction or speed. I am thinking the haze layer/visibility graduation is triggering some light turbulence?FSX, winxp, ASE latest. Thanks for looking at this.Rob.
