A Better Bell Helicopter?

Featured Replies

I just took a scenic flight in a Bell Ranger helicopter just like the one in Flight Simulator at a local fair. I couldn't wait to get home and try it out in FS. I was disappointed in finding the engine never quits and is always running, and there is no change in sound as power is increased or decreased. Not "as real as it gets" in my opinion. Is there an addon version available or any other chopper for that matter of the same detail and quality as the fs aircraft addons such as those from Dreamfleet, FSD, Flight One, etc.? Thanks.

Greets, the engine can be turned off, just like any other aircraft. As far as sound, d/l the bell 427 package by Paul Bradshaw and swap out the sound files and also change the engine type to 5 and in the airfile do the same and you will have start up and shut down sounds. Manuel Gonzalez is the heli sound master and has several packages available for different helis, you can get them at the LZ.com.As far as payware quality helicopeters, sorry, but not yet. From what I have heard from designers, the market is just too small to invest the months of tedious design for a small return, but there are some great freeware helis out there, go to the Hovercontrol.com d/l section and you can find most of them.Regards, MichaelKDFWhttp://mysite.verizon.net/res052cd/mybannercva1.jpgCalVirAir International VAwww.calvirair.comCougar Mountain Helicopters & Aviationwww.cgrmtnhelos.com
